Camping and a busted ovarian cyst

Compliments of Grandma and Grandpa Sturino, the 3 of us planned a long weekend to go camping. Now we are talking about the best kind of camping, the real thing! In an air conditioned trailer with beds, a bathroom with shower, and flat screen TV! Ahhhh, camping at it's best! I simply don't think it is too early to teach the little man the importance of air conditioning during the NC summer! So we get there Saturday afternoon and enjoyed riding around in Grandma and Grandpa's fancy new golf cart! G man absolutely loved it! In the beginning, paranoid mommy had him in the the bjorn since the car is clearly not equipped with seat belts or car seats! :-) By the end of the trip, and after daddy proved his golf cart driving skills, mommy loosened up a bit and started just holding onto him rather tightly!

We fed ALL of the wildlife at the campground....

So by Saturday night, I came down with a fever. We were able to control the fever throughout Sunday with constant meds. So Sunday was fun filled and we still managed to have little G experience his first time in the pool. Mommy sat this one out, but daddy did a great job with him by himself.

By Monday, I was doubled over in pain. Two weeks later, many tests, and lots of doctor and specialist appts later, we finally got some answers. A ruptured ovarian cyst took me out for a good two weeks and nearly 4 weeks later, I am still not all the way right. There are many doubts that the ruptured cyst caused all of those serious symptoms for such a long time. So the verdict is still out as to of what else was going on simultaneously. I have gotten to the point to where I just don't care.....as long as it doesn't happen again!!!!
