An amazing opportunity

All of Mommy's hard work has paid off! I earned a cruise from my real estate company and I had to make a rather quick decision. Should we take advantage of this opportunity and leave our less than year old son home? Should we stay or should we go? Well, I called mom to see what she thought of the situation and she said "you're going". So grandma and grandpa watched little G for a full 5 days while S and I went to the Bahamas for our first trip away from the little man. We has such a fantastic time! Although we missed G terribly, we knew that he was in excellent hands and were able to relax and enjoy each others company! We drank, sun bathed, chilled out in hot tubs, ate, swam, stayed up late, slept in (a little anyway) and enjoyed the many activities the cruise line provided. Our ports of call were Freeport and Nassau. We went to see the amazing Atlantis and let me tell you, not only is it beautiful, but it is super fun! We went down their many water slides, went to visit many of our under the sea friends, relaxed at the beach and chilled out in their many pools and lazy rivers. We had an absolute BLAST!!! We both started getting a bit anxious at the end of the trip. We missed our little man terribly! That drive home just didn't go nearly fast enough! THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!!! You are the absolute BEST parents and grandparents and we are so grateful to have you such a big part of our lives!

We were so relived that he took his first steps before we left. We knew that we might be cutting it close to missing his first steps completely, but he ended up surprising us a couple of weeks before we left! But he was a walking machine by the time we got back! We are so proud of that little man!
